SPECIAL UPDATE: OUR FRIEND, ELDEN TITUS, passed away on Wednesday, October 8th, 2008, and further work on the VIBRASONIC was stopped at that point in time. Everything was put on hold so that Elden's widow, Tammy, and his family, could have some private time.
Toward the end of 2009, Tammy decided that the Project should be finished in honor of Elden...a car that he had worked so hard on and wanted to see-through to completion. Accordingly, many of Elden's friends have stepped forward and volunteered to finish the car.
Among those involved are Elden's good friends, Gary Meyers, who'll be the co-ordinator for the Project; Bob Notz; Gene Winfield, who'll do one of his fantastic paint jobs; Alan Mayes, who'll continue "Build-Up" Updates in CKD; George Barris, who was involved with Elden on this car from the beginning; Elden's son, Shane; a number of others will add to the mix when needed, and of course, Elden's brother, Jerry Titus. Plus, you'll see some great art renderings from Sal Salvador. (See CKD #40, Page 12, for more pix & info.)
SO, as you listen to this last Interview I did with Elden, be aware that the dream of this fantastic machine, the VIBRASONIC ROADSTER, being finished, will be accompished by the friends & family of one of THE BEST of all-time: ELDEN TITUS.

NO ONE IN THE INDUSTRY loved building & creating magnificent Kustoms more than Elden. He began working for Darryl Starbird in 1967, and since then has worked on hundreds of rides putting his unique craftsmanship into every one.
This page is dedicated to what turned out to be his last beautiful, larger-than-life creation that he put together with the Legendary George Barris: "The Vibrasonic Roadster".
For more of my thoughts on Elden, please go to my Elden Titus Tribute Page .
Elden was my friend, but he was a friend to everyone in the Industry that met him. He will be missed by all who came in contact with him...and, if you never had the pleasure of meeting Elden I'm truly sorry. You would have never forgotten his compassion, his talent, and, his quest for going-the-extra-mile to build cars that no one ever thought of before.
He was a true visionary who's impact on the Industry will remain and be remembered far longer than the words written on this page. BUT, because of my Original Concept of the HOF Legends Series, you can hear Elden tell his own stories in his own voice. And so can future generations for years to come.
R.I. P. Elden, you were a true friend. JK

Legendary Builders George Barris & EldenTitus teamed up to build one of the most fantastic, mind-blowing roadsters you would ever see.
And, in their Exclusive Interviews, I was the first one they told about it at the 26th Annual KKOA Leadsled Spectacular in Salina, Kansas in 2006.

NOW, IN THIS LAST INTERVIEW that we did at Darryl Starbird's 44th Annual Tulsa Rod & Custom Show, Elden filled me in on the latest details, the Car Kulture DeLuxe Connection, AND he supplied some great pix of the Vibrasonic's Build-Up ! PLUS, You'll hear GEORGE BARRIS and his comments on projects that he and Elden had planned !!
The "Vibrasonic" was set to be unveiled at Darryl Starbird's 45th Annual Tulsa Rod & Custom Show in February, 2009.
While Elden handled most of the bodywork with help from Matt Ahern & Gary Meyers, Jack Marinelli of Midwest Kustoms put together the frame, and the running gear is a Buick Nailhead, with a Fatman Fabrications front-end.
