CHUCK MILLER'S LONG-AWAITED '32 FORD ROADSTER had its debut at the 2013 Detroit Autorama...and was truly one of the "Stars Of The Show" !
The car is simply stunning, and meticulously-crafted to the most minute detail...the paint, bodywork, drivetrain, interior, exhaust system, electronic systems/switches, computer-driven EFI Caddy engine, exterior hardware, choice of wheels/tires/hubcaps, and trunk with hidden storage compartments, all are flawlessly executed.
CHUCK & I havc gone round-and-round about this car for rhe last few years. Chuck has been working on it for 18 years, and every year when we get together in Salina for the KKOA Lead Sled Spectacular, he tells me he's "going to try to finish it and take it to Detroit for the Autorama". Every year it's the same story !
WELL, finally for the 2013 Autorama, with the help of a lot of good friends, Chuck did get the car finished, on-the-road, and, to Detroit !
AND, as you can see, all those 18 years of hard work really paid off: the little '32 was a Multiple-Award Winner, including "First In Class", and, a Street Rodder Mag. "Top 100" Pick !
CHUCK'S AN OLD FRIEND, and as you'll hear, this Session was a lot of fun for both of us...with his sweet wife, Candi, serving as a witness to the resulting chaos that occured !
AND, A SPECIAL CONGRATS to Chuck who was honored with the KKOA Lifetime Legend Award for 2013...a well-deserved honor !
My thanks again to Chuck, and, Candi for supplying all of the great photos that you're looking at on this Special Page ! JK
THE INTERIOR, shown here, is simply stunning ! Clean, perfect, and, with some cool tricks that Chuck talks about in our Interview: the shifter, switches, ignition, and, all the other equipment are HIDDEN !
THE ENGINE is an EFI '95 LT1 Caddy Unit...with a custom, stealth, engine cover...giving it a "Tri-Power" Big-Block look.
THE TAILLIGHTS are '37 Ford with the stanchions inverted...and, they look so cool, they look like Henry put 'em on there at the Factory !
