FOR OVER 40 YEARS JOHN D'AGOSTINO has created some of the most beautiful kustoms to ever to hit the show circuits !
John's "eye" for designing, molding, and shaping these beautiful machines is almost flawless, and his newest, the gorgeous 1940 Cadillac Model 62 Coupe that you see pictured here, is certainly proof of that.
As is his tradition, John sometimes names these fantastic creations in honor of historic film stars. The "Marilyn" Cadillac, the "Gable" Packard, the "Elvis"/"Elvis II" Cadillacs', have all been multiple-award winners. Accordingly, and this rare, luxurious Cadillac has been named "SOPHIA" after the iconic Italian beauty and Academy Award winning actress, Sophia Loren.
AT THE KKOA LEAD SLED SPECTAULAR in Salina, Kansas, it's a yearly tradition for John, the Legendary GEORGE BARRIS, and, myself to get together for a Sunday Morning Session, talking about cars, kustoms, the newest builds, historic builds, and almost anything R&C related that we can come up with.
This year was no exception and, since we had covered the early-stages of John's '40 Cad a couple of years back, I wanted an update of it's scheduled debut at the 2012 GNRS.
GEORGE BARRIS HAS A GREAT SENSE OF HUMOUR and added a little bit of fun to the start of the Session, John gave me the needed info on the Cad, and then both George & John added some very kind words about my KKOA "America's Top DJ Award".
My thanks to George, my Cuz' John, and to KKOA Prez JERRY TITUS & his Crew for their friendship & kindness through all of these years. JK
