ULTRA-KUSTOMIZER, the late-BO HUFF, was never in the habit of building cars that looked conventional ! His cars made statements, broke new ground, and, sometimes shocked viewers out ot their boots !! A few years ago his '57 Ford Ranchero accomplished all of the above...and more.
Bo called it the "Panochero", and it took the R&C world by storm, taking those rare, seldom-seen, car-based pickups to a whole new level: It's chopped, it's lowered, it's slice-and-diced in many ways...but also was a multiple-award winner and if you ever get a chance to see it in-person it will make a "believer" out of you !
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED at the 31st Annual KKOA Lead Sled Spectacular in Salina, Kansas, in July, 2011 where Bo & I caught up with each other, and had a Sunday Morning Interview Session. I saw this beautiful creation up-close for the first time and it just knocked me out, so I needed Bo to give me the specs & info on how the Panochero was put together. He did just that !!
So, if you're ready, just sit back for the next few minutes as Bo & I have some fun, and in the process you'll learn the full story ! JK
BTW: While we were in Salina, the host of "My Classic Car", DENNIS GAGE, spent a few days checking-out all of the Kool Kustom Kemps and filmed many of the rides to be included in his Series in 2012.
One of the cars he honed-in on was Bo's "PANOCHERO" (see below). It, and many other feature cars shot in the "Salina Sessions"were featured in the 2012 Season of "My Classic Car" !

SPECIAL NOTICE: BO HUFF WAS A GREAT FRIEND, and was one of the nicest, most talented builder's to ever light-up a torch. He went through a lot with many health problems the last few years of his life, and, sadly, passed away on August 4th, 2015.
We usually talked to each other every week or so, and, even during his illness, his spirit and desire to keep cranking out great customs still ignited him to not only want to "raise the bar", but to "set the bar" for others to follow.
I'm so glad that we were able to do all of the Interviews that we did during the year's, because now Bo's great stories about his life, his cars, and his passion for everything to do with Rods & Customs, can be heard right here on the HOF Legends Site for all to learn from and enjoy World Wide...24/7/365 !
R.I.P., my friend. Like you always said, we were like "family".
