HE'S BEEN A "CAR GUY" , LIKE THE REST OF US, since as far back as he can remember. He's also the Managing Editor of Car Kulture DeLuxe & Ol 'Skool Rodz, so when he decides on a Project to put together (remember the award-winning '61 Ventura ? ) he calls on the BEST to get it accomplished. And, with "Project Riviera", ALAN MAYES has again hit the mark straight-on !
FIRST, you can follow the build-up in Car Kulture DeLuxe as it rolls along to completion. (It started in CKD #32)
SECOND, the "project" now has a name...call it LORRAINE. Why ? Simple: It's the middle name of Alan's daughter Brooke.
AND, THIRD, it's being built by Brad Masterson of California (Chop/Body Work); Gary Brown, Indianapolis (Finished Body Work); Mike's Speed Shop, Tennessee (Engine Rebuild); and, Street Rods By Michael, Tennessee (Chassis, Wiring, Air Ride, etc). So, you see it's in good hands all-around.
Now that you've got all that info down, sit back for the next few minutes and listen to Alan tell the story in his own words.
OH, AND, see if I can finally get Alan to put me on the Cover of that there mag ! J K
