FOR OVER 4 DECADES YOU'VE SEEN SOME OF JOHN D'AGOSTINO'S UNIQUE AND, VERY SPECIAL CARS. They transcend the "norm" due not only to their Design, but due to John's choice of vehicles to be customized.
John's an old friend who's truly one of the nicest guys you'll ever spend time with. His love of cars, and especially "kustom cars", goes back to his early days in California...just as mine does growing up in St. Louis. John and I make it a "yearly event" to get together at the KKOA Lead Sled Spectacular in Salina, and the legendary "King Of The Kustomizers", George Barris, is always right there with us.
Since John is usually working on more than one car at a time, he's always kind enough to give me "early info" on his projects and, at our 2009 "Sunday Morning Meeting in Salina", he filled me in on not just one, or, two projects, but THREE: His rare '40 Cadillac Coupe, the '59 Eldorado Biarritz "Elvis II" Convertible, and, an '84 Roll-Royce Carmargue restoration done for David Walters in Hawaii.
SO, settle back for the next few minutes, turn up your speakers, and enjoy these great stories with my "Cuz" John D'Agostino.
AND, take a close look at the "early pix" of these cars, 'cause you'll see the finished versions a lot in the coming years !
